I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Des Arts Galata in Istanbul, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The hotel is perfectly situated near the iconic Galata Tower, making it an ideal base for exploring this vibrant part of the city. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond truly transformed our experience. Whether it was providing local tips, making reservations, or ensuring our stay was comfortable, they were always there with a smile and ready to assist. One highlight of our stay was their suggestion to visit the hotel's terrace on our last day. Although we were pressed for time, we decided to take a quick look—and we're so glad we did! The terrace offers a stunning view of the city, providing a breathtaking panorama that we would have regretted missing. It's a hidden gem that adds immense value to the hotel. The rooms at Hotel Des Arts Galata were another standout feature. They were impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. The attention to detail in the room's decor added to the overall charm of the hotel. Traveling as a couple, we found Hotel Des Arts Galata to be a romantic and relaxing place to stay. The combination of the superb location, excellent staff, and comfortable accommodations made our trip to Istanbul truly memorable. If you're planning a visit to this amazing city, do yourself a favor and book your stay at Hotel Des Arts Galata—you won't be disappointed!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Istanbul — I’ve found a true little gem! A small hotel right next to Galata Tower, with beautiful, cozy rooms and an unbeatable location. Imagine taking photos in front of the Galata early in the morning, without the crowds — a dream! The location is fantastic: just a 10-15 minute walk across the bridge to all the main attractions — the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. It’s also close to the ferry port if you want to explore both the European and Asian sides of the city. The area around the hotel is filled with charming restaurants, cafés, fresh fruit stands, and juice bars, and just 5 minutes away is a lively pedestrian street full of shops, pastry shops, and restaurants. If you choose to have breakfast at the hotel — you’ll enjoy your morning coffee with a view of the Galata Tower. Above all, I would especially like to highlight the incredibly kind and welcoming hotel staff, particularly Ms. Siren Merve, who welcomed us, saw us off, answered all our questions, and even organized a surprise birthday cake for me. Thank you once again for everything — we’ll definitely be coming back!

The hotel was lovely. Clean, well kept and the staff were just lovely. Especially Siran and the lady who works the afternoon/early morning shifts. Our Junior suite was well priced and just delightful. The bed was comfortable and there is a loft if you have a lot of luggage, or stairs if you prefer. The room didn’t have a TV but that was fine for us. The wifi is good quality and free. If you include breakfast in your process, it is not on site. They have vouchers to give you for a nearby cafe which is also lovely and has good coffee. There is free coffee in the main lobby. The hotel was right near Galata Tower in the thick of beautiful old town. Plenty of restaurants and shops surrounding the area for souvenir shopping. Short walk to the Tunel Tramway and trams to get you to all of the main tourist attractions. I definitely recommend staying here.

From the lovely warm welcome when we arrived to organising a taxi when we left all the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic! 50 metres from Galata Tower but the little street the hotel is on is remarkably quiet despite the hubub all around. It's a 30 minute walk to Eminönü over the bustling Galata Bridge. It's 10 mins down to Tophane for Istanbul Modern or the bus to Ortaköy or bus/tram to Kabatas for the ferries to the islands. Breakfast is off-site, 5 mins round the corner at Güney cafe where there is a great choice of delicious fresh options served with brisk but friendly efficiency by the busy staff.

The staff were really wonderful and the location was unexpectedly perfect. I could walk everywhere I wanted to go. Management and those working on reception (I am sorry that I am terrible remembering names) helped with with everything from a public transport card, recommendations, ordering food for me and even gifting me a bottle of wine when I looked like I needed one 🫠. The bed was comfortable and the decor lovely. The breakfast is great and is provided in a nearby restaurant, right under the tower. A good spot to watch life go by.
